Personalized Tour of the New Harvard Art Museum with Danielle Carrabino Curator of European and American Art.

Personalized Tour of the New Harvard Museum Building

The Tour will be led by Danielle Carrabino, curator of European and American Art.  She is an Italian art scholar who grew up in Florence and has spent much of her adult and professional life in Italy too.

Danielle will begin by giving a brief overview of the new building and then will take the group into the galleries.  She is designing a special tour for us that we think will be particularly pertinent and engaging, and will spotlight important strengths in the Harvard collections.  The Tour will focus on the Italian holdings at the Harvard Art Museums spanning the Renaissance to the Baroque periods by artists such as Fra Angelico, Scipione Pulzone, and Bernini.  We will explore these works of Art through their relationship to the collections in the Vatican Museums, Saint Peter’s Basilica, and other museums in Rome.
