What’s It Worth? A Skinner Open-Format Antiques Appraisal Event

Please join us at this entertaining and educational afternoon to learn the history and value of antiques.

Skinner open-format antiques appraisal event:

You will receive verbal information and appraisal value from a Skinner expert appraiser who will discuss each item presented for appraisal in front of a seated audience. Bring your porcelain, pottery, toy, doll, silver, painting, furniture, rug, etc. Skinner recommends that good quality photos be substituted for large pieces or particularly fragile items. For services of china or silver, one example of each piece in a set accompanied by a list of the total number of pieces will serve to represent the entire set. Please OMIT coins, stamps, jewelry and musical instruments. Since we have a limited two-hour time frame, we are asking everyone to bring just one item.

If you plan to bring an item to be appraised, submit a description of your item to [email protected] by Monday, April 2nd.

We will also explore the Ayer Mansion (the only surviving residence created by American artist and designer, Louis Comfort Tiffany) with patrons and friends, sipping wine and enjoying light hors d'oeuvres.
