Join us on Saturday, March 23, at 3:30 PM for a talk by David Pollack, head of the Old Master Paintings Department at Sotheby's, followed by a dinner.

David's talk will address how we determine “quality,” and the criteria that make one painting more valuable than another. He'll discuss issues of attribution, condition, provenance, and quality, with historical examples to illustrate the nuances of this 500-year-old genre and marketplace.
